Formosa 35 Assistance Please

This is my first post on Cruisers Forum. I have been searching and reading for a while, but this is my first time to speak up.

I just found out about a 35ft Formosa sloop, center cockpit, fin keel, with a 3 cyl Perkins diesel.

I've read on this forum about the potential issues with Formosa boats (decks, leaks etc). And I won't make an offer without a good survey of the boat. But, I can't find any info about the Formosa 35. There's a ton about the 51 footer, but it seems no one has the 35.

Does anyone have any experience with this boat? Any insights? I can't find an owner's group anywhere online.

I'd rather not get a boat that is an orphan.

Thanks in advance.

look up formosas yachts on line--you will find the traditional looking f ormosas and some newer fiberglass models--i donot know which you were interested in--bowsprit counts in some measuring of these boats--i have a 41--the reputations and badmouthing is worse than reality is----just make sure ye get a goood survey and make sure nothing is missed from the inspection....goood luck---formosa yachts are comfy cruisers and i would not give up my 41 for anything---mine is 41 plus sprit......fair winds.....~~~/)~~~~
