Crazy money

I could buy 3 x 51's, spread through different parts of the globe and still have $250,000 left for beer and airfares to use them.

Well, first of all, it's plastic and not teaky. Hopefully not leaky! Second, that's an 80 foot boat! A little ship! It would not be unusual for an 80 footer to cost three or four times what a 50 footer costs. And an 80 footer from 1985 -- I shudder to think how much it would cost to maintain . . .

But if I bought 3 x 51 instead (One in the Caribbean, one in Croatia, and one in Kota Kinnabalu) , I have 153 ft of yacht and $250,000 left in the cruising kitty
