Re: Fiberglass hull but vintage inspired boat suggestions

Sounds like an interesting company - you need and want to take people sailing on a classic sail boat.

I have a LeComte NE 38 for sale. Beautiful classic design by Bill Tripp Jr. and very elegant, comfortable and sweet motion, nice sailing boat built in Holland in 1968 - very high quality built to Lloyd's of London specifications.

Recent engine, recent main, updated electrical panel.

This boat is similar to the Hinckley Bermuda 40 but has a more modern underbody with molded fin keep and skeg hung rudder. I have owned her for 20 years and sailed her all over the New England coast from Sag Harbor to Maine - great classic beauty for sure and always gets a compliment at every harbor we visit.

She is located in Bristol Rhode Island, needs some cosmetic work, totally sound boat and ready sail in the Spring / entertain guests and if you have a woodworker on staff, cosmetic projects could be done over time. See picture attached. I have a 10 page brochure if you are interested so just email me and I can send it to you. This boat is in your price range 30 - 40 K and would be perfect for your intended use.

Where are you located?

How about a Bristol 39-40. One of the best looking classics and prices are reasonable. They are also good sailors regularly placing in the Bermuda race.

Re: Fiberglass hull but vintage inspired boat suggestions

I once delivered a Rhodes Reliant yawl from Huntington Harbor NY to Boothbay Harbor Maine. It was a fantastic trip - at one point, sailing north out of the Cape Cod Canal and heading to PTown - we had a blow of 35 knots and just jogged along with job and jigger in complete comfort and ease. Great boat, beautiful boat and a wonderful sailor.

I still think my LeComte NE 38 is prettier and sails better) than a Bermuda 40 though

We still don't know where the OP is located. Suggestions that might be great in SFO or in MIA might be hard to find in SYD or AMS.
