Re: Favorite 30'-34' Foot sailboat

Peterson 34 - fast, tender, fun. sailed her all over the gulf in the 80s dragging her 6' fin in the sand everywhere we went. Once on that lean though she would fly!

and

Brewer Kaiulani 34 - sailed on her as crew to Nova Scotia two years ago. A friends boat he built out of steel. Slow, but Very capable blue water boat.

Nordic 34. Very fast for her size and displacement. One of the best sailing boats I've ever been on.

Only six were built, I think, but it was the Islander 34 before Islander went under and sold the molds to Nordic.

Pendragon35, yours is 5ft too long! As we are in the same marina, maybe one day we'll give each other a tour :-)

My Alberg30 with Yanmar 2gm20f is actually 30ft 3 inches. I bought a 35ft slip instead of a 30ft one so I couldn't be messed with on a technicality sometime in the future! Do you think Carl Alberg couldn't afford a tape measure??? :-D

Re: Favorite 30'-34' Foot sailboat

I love Nicholson 35.

Yes yes yes I know it it is beyond the 30-34 limit.

Still, the 35 has so many things done so well - it is liveaboardable, seaworty, sails well and looks well.

I could have one and be happy with it. Beyond any doubt.

I also adore the HCh 34. Except this one is longer than 34' too. And by a far margin.

Did anyone mention the Cheoy Lee Luders 30 or Hallberg Rassy 33 yet?
