I think the Cape Dory is a great choice. Also the Leigh 30, Alberg, Falmouth, Westsail, Older Halberg Rassy, Island Packet. Seaward/Hake 32 for sure.

My favourite 30-34 ft boat is actually 35.5 - the Bristol 35.5. My second favourite is the one I've got, the 31.1. The 33.3 is excellent but as rare as hen's teeth.

You are right about Bristols, they are superb.

The Allied Seawind 30 must be as pretty as any, but there's a few more at Popular Cruising Yachts from 30 to 35 feet that are worth a look...

We have a Cape Dory built Intrepid 9 Meter. They only built about 40. CP interior (teak except for counter surfaces and some hull surfaces with covering). Fin Keel. Sails well.
I'm, perforce, at the end of sailing and must sell. Boat's in Maine.
