endeavour 37 on ebay

Im looking at the endeavour 37 on ebay. Thinking about bidding. It looks good and the motor replacement is no problem to me. I can do it myself. Any thoughts about this boat would be appreciated. Thanks larry

Motor is likely to cost $5k or more, even if you can replace it yourself. If the current motor is shot, pehaps other systems have also been allowed to deteriorate - powertrain, stuffing box, plumbing, wiring... Caveat emptor. If you can get over to the boat and check it out yourself, you may find it worthwhile. Otherwise... who knows?

Re: endeavour 37 on ebay

friends of ours (and they're BIG people) lived on one with their two BIG dogs for five years until they had to return to - dare i say it? - work.

not a super sailor but pretty rugged and liveable. there are several different interior layouts, some better than others.

we looked at a few before buying our csy 37.

We've owned an Endeavour 37 for 2 years and love it. We have the B plan. It is a very comfortable boat. Sails well, although being a heavy boat (10 tons), likes wind of at least 8 knots or so. A large Genoa definitely helps.

Re: endeavour 37 on ebay

Cropduster: I own the boat on Ebay. The Endeavour is a great boat. Big, fat, stable, comfortable. It is overbuilt. It was designed to be a blue water cruiser from Irwin design. I learned that when my soon-to-be wife and I got caught in Tropical Storm Barry in 2007. The boat says, "is that all you got?". It is a lot like an ugly girlfriend, she isn't the sexiest thing to bring out in public but you want to be with her all the time. I have a buyers survey from 2012 and you can come aboard this Saturday to take a look. My email and my phone number are on the Ebay ad. Happy Bidding! I now have a 5 yr old, 3 yr old, and a 18 mo old and Valiant has become a lesser priority. She needs someone to give her love.
