Edey & Duff - Gonzo !
It is with some sadness that I report that Eddy & Duff of Mattapoisett, MA has closed it's doors--another victom of misguided governmental economic policies. Originally founded in 1968, the Company began with the construction of the venerable Sam Crocker designed Stone Horse in Peter Duff's living room (subsequently finished in his wife's herb garden). As reported by Good Old Boat's latest newsletter, the Fatty Knees
will continue to be built by a fellow that purchased the molds. See the Good Old Boat Web-site for more.
"It is not so much for its beauty that the Sea makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air, that emanation from the waves, that so wonderfully renews a weary spirit."
