Edel 820

Thinking of buying my first boat this summer and this has caught my eye, looking for input on this boat and review, likes, dislikes etc, also opinions on what you think of this for a first boat.

Later the company went for cats. Still in the business.

No experience with this one but looks OK in pictures.

Re: Edel 820

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Wired Griff.

Apparently, they only built about 60 of them, between 1980 - 82.

Re: Edel 820

The yard that built Edel monohulls went bankrupt in 1995. New investors bought the brand, the molds and the tools for one Franc. They are still in business: index

Maurice Edel, the founder, died in 2011.

More information is available on French websites, since Edel was a French yard. I was the happy and proud owner of an Edel2...
