Double bed

Hi folks!!
I'm looking for a monohull from 35 to 45. Sorry about my silly question. Is there any sailboat that it has a good double bed, NOT triangle, with enough space for a big couple??

Re: Double bed

v-berths are triangular, hence the name "V" berth. Virtually every boat I can think of in that size range has at least one double, often 2, and many have queen size berths. No need to settle for less than a queen in a 45.

Re: Double bed

I've been looking for something similar and found some of the older Moody 37 & 40 yachts have large stern cabins.
Another is a Bavaria 390 Lagoon which has a large walkaround (3 sides) bed in a stern cabin.
Have a look for others on an archive at Archive boat data from Yachtsnet Ltd. online UK yacht brokers - yacht brokerage and boat sales

Re: Double bed

Lots of boats have these. My boat has an aft berth that has a queen plus berth and the forward has a twin double pullman berth.

Re: Double bed

Hunter 356 has a stern queen. Headroom could be a problem for very large people as the bed is under the cockpit and is crawling height only.

Re: Double bed

Westerly Oceanlords have a pretty big island bed down the back or you could modify a Sealord like this Blue water comfy bed | Camomile

Re: Double bed

Yikes - how big are you guys? Most boats that size will have an aft queen size bed. And if the boat is 42' it will have a queen bed in the 'V' berth - maybe the front corners of the mattress will be cut off but still plenty of sleeping area.

If you guys are huge then the aft bed will be very tight to get into and out of.

I have not seen any beds in 35' to 37' that somehow aren't modified to fit the boat hull.

Good luck.

Re: Double bed

Many center cockpit boats have aft stateroom with queen berth/bed.
