Decorative Wood, Question

Howdy Cruisers

So I was looking at this amazing Mariner 32 called "Blues Traveler" the owner of this boat did an outstanding job on her. Anyway I was wounder what these decorative wood peaces on the bow are called, and how would one go about attaching them to a hull that doesn't already have them mounted.

Guess I have the same question about mounting a Decorative name plate on a fiberglass hull. Any links to detailed guides would be most appreciated.

Also I noticed the rigging has something that looks like bamboo covering. Is their a special name for such covering.

This boats for sale on Yacht world for anyone that's far richer then I and in need of a fine looking sailing vessel.

: I imagine that's so, sir.

Name Boards, or Trailboards to the tradiditonally-minded, could be screwed, bolted, or adhered to the hull.

The name boards originally placed on the quarter were called "Quarterboards". They were very decorative and old time skippers often took them home and displayed them on their houses. Consequently some house signs are still referred to as quarterboards.

Have fun
