Re: Crowded anchorage

Looks just fine to me...last time i was in Vellejo I had to climb
over about a dozen WWII submarines to reach the dock.
I'd say current state of affairs is vast improvement!

Yes, the photo was taken yesterday (Sunday, before leaving for the return leg to the SF Bay) with the majority of over 2000 sailboats participating in The Great Vallejo Race. Berths were already filled with Vallejo Yacht Club members' boats. No, the photo was not taken with a telephoto lense.

Re: Crowded anchorage

Spanish Point, Barbuda is a great place for solitude, but the resort doesnt like people coming ashore. Lots of lobtser and we had a nice octopus stew when we were there. Oh! such good memories._____Grant.

Sounds like Annapolis to St. Michaels on the Chesapeake. Rafted up eight deep at the Crab Shack's bulkhead after the race. Crowds can be fun.

The middies from the Naval Academy would pretty hard on Saturday night. Sunday morning headed back to Annapolis one of their boats passed us. Only one was "alive"--the helmsman. The rest were laid out all over the deck like dead bodies. I bet some of them wished they were dead!
