Crazy step idea....

I am not the tallest person alive, and often find myself staking a 1-2 seat cushions fro me to stand on. When my kiddo steers, she usually ends up standing on the seat hump. Soooo I was thinking I could put a step that would fold down and could be used to stand up higher when needed. It might also double as a nice foot rest when seated. Then i started thinking of the shape and design of the step. I would like it long enough to allow for a bit of movement. Curved up ends so you would know where the end is. Not too deep, but deep enough to stand on.... huh a skateboard is all those things! Could even put grip tape on it.

Maybe I should post this over in Sailing Anarchy???? hahahah

sounds like a plan.
Look for SS hardware at Marine Parts Depot. Possibly a heavy duty mast step would make a hinge that would stay where you put it.
