CPT III wheel pilot vs Raymarine Type 1 - below decks

Maybe someone on here had both to compare?

....and can tell which of these will be stronger in rough conditions?

Raymarine recommends the Type 1 up to 11000 kg/~24000 lbs

According to their web, the CPT seems to have steered some 50-60 ft sailboats for a while, but it's a wheel pilot so "inferior" to a below decks option?
