Companionway Measurements - Cal 2-29

I'm in Oregon and my boat is in California. I need to know the measurements of the companionway for a 1975 Cal 2-29 (purchased a 1.7 cu.ft. Fridge). I'm loath to drag the thing all the way down there only to find out it won't go through the passage!

And yes, I've gone on line and looked at all the old Cal Jensen books, drafts and schematics - this seems to be the one measurement they left out!

Hoping someone sitting on their Cal right now can answer the question!!

28" by 24" on deck
29 1/2" vertical, 24" at the top,
14 1/2" at the bottom

I understand your point. My fridge is 20 by 18 by 24(height)
