My offshore sailing continues to increase and i'm trying to find the best way to access weather and stay in touch with family and friends. The Iridium GO looks very interesting as it has voice, texts, and data. It would seem that being able to access all the weather apps i currently get inshore would be appears the data is slow, which as long as it comes in would be acceptable.

Some reviews totally knock the device as constantly having to reset? or not work.

Are there any sailors out there that can give first hand reviews of the experience?

Very much appreciated in advance.
