Circumnavigation in MacGregor 26

Go to South Florida (Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale), head east to the Bahamas, run ESE along the Bahamas chain to the Turks and Caicos, continue ESE across the top of Haiti (don't stop there), small island on the right just past Haiti is Puerto Rico. Total trip is roughly 1200 nm, hope you have a lot of gas for your jet ski, and don't forget the sunscreen.

Sail round the world.. In my Macgregor 26..

Fill the boat with taco chips and salsa and red bull and sail off into the sunset.

We already have a thread about an epic Jet Ski adventure in that part of the world . Never heard from the fella again , that likely because he came up with another "great idea" instead, but maybe that not the reason for the silence .

Interesting that this thread just popped up -- I just sold a Mac26 a few days ago.

You can of course potentially sail anything "around the world", be sure and send me a postcard.

This tread is so silly it is not even worth it to respond. Years back I said a good sailor could go from one place to another with a floating log. What I didn't realize was that a good sailor would not choose a tree to sail with, he would get a Contessa or some other seaworthy boat. It would be the people that are dangerous to themselves or others that would choose the log. I guess we have seen that principle in action today...

What kind of log? What size?

Obviously the bigger the log, the more comfort.

What if your log is considered a protected species? How do you know what log is allowable in various countries?

Where do you store the captain's log on the log?

Where do you store your anchor?

What kind of chain stays work best with the various logs?

How many buckets can you carry?

This is a big discussion all on its own!

Of course you can circumnavigate in a MacGregor 26. You simply stuff it into a big shipping container and load it aboard a container ship! It can go and go and go....multiple times or until your money runs out!
