changing refrigeration

Hi this topic must have been discussed many times,so redirect me if need be ,I am looking to replace my pre 1993 Blissfield 10 ton engine driven comp, cooling eutectic plates system and uses f12, there is allso shore power via different comp, system old now to many leaks,i have run out of f12,and tired of putting money into something this old.Ihave been looking at Frigomatic systems ,and plan to do away with engine driven and go direct to 12v ,i think i will stick to plates rather than evaporator , reasoning been that engine running is charging batt ,or if pluged in to shore power the same ,so do away with one comp,Has any body used Frigomatic systems ,or canyou recomend another to consider.

forget holding plate systems. get something like the frigoboat system which is danfoss style compressor/evaporator. these style systems keep a more uniform temperature in the box (IE. no frozen lettuce). they are also cheaper to buy/install and will give you years of service.
