Catalina 42 mk 2. 2 or 3 cabin?

Hello Illuminati. We're looking to move from our Catalina 34 to the 42. It'd be just the Admiral and I with occasional visits from kids. I've been on board one of each of the 2 and 3 cabin versions last weekend and yes, it sucks to be on a boat in your socks when it's minus 10C. We really like the Pullman layout but I'm torn between the 2 or 3 cabin options. Can anyone with experience on either of these boats please give your rationale for choosing one over the other?

Thanks in advance.

Dave
