I have seen this dinghy and think that it is just what I'm looking
For to start out sailing , only trouble is it doesn't say what it
Is, so please could you all help me get going

I believe that is a "row versus wade" type dinghy (I realize that I'm no help but the joke is just too funny)

Actually, it's alot a dinghy but a small sailboat.

Are there any numbers on the transom? That will give us the year and manufacture.

Looks to be in fairly decent shape!

It is a sailing dinghy.

Sort of alike the International 420.

very similar to a 420,but cant see a centerboard casing,
picture looks like it has a fixed keel,or at least one that slides up fwd of the seat.

if it has a fixed keel it will be a small class,with a few of them belonging to a few sailing clubs,narrows search down a bit.

probably try looking locally in the area for others.

It's a Flying Junior or a knock-off. Even when it isn't, when you like it, you should get a FJ anyway as it's the main International class for this type of boat.

It's not a 420, but the hull looks like a Flying Junior. The cockpit is not like they build the FJ now, but perhaps it is an old one which is in very good shape.
