CAL 40

Where do I find the hull number of a CAL 40? I found 'CAL 40 # 98' written on the bottom of most of the drawers - would that be the hull number?

Re: CAL 40

yep
Our Cal 28 has the hull number marked on much of the wood work also!

It should be inside the stern in a locker/lazarette/compartment.

Thanks for your quick response. I will look in the lazarette. We are currently doing a complete restoration. When we saw the numbers on the drawers it got us wondering.

Ours is sunk right into the fiberglass on the starboard stern.

Is your Cal new to you?

Re: CAL 40

We have owned the Odin since 2001. The prior owner, a family friend, bought it in the early 80's. We have crewed it from when they bought it. We lost the mast in 2009 in the Miami-Key Largo race and have decided to completely refurbish it.
