Cabo Rico 34 or Bristol 31.1

I'm looking for a well made cruiser. I haven't physically looked at any boats yet, but I like the Cabo Rico's and the Bristol 31.1's. Currently we own a Bristol 29 and would like to upgrade. Our cruising area is the New England waters, but would like to have the options of cruising further. My type of sailing is going out in just about all kinds of weather as long as it's safe to do so. With our current boat we always seem to get beaten up on our trips and it would be nice having a boat that we can just reduce sail and still cruise in 30kts of wind. What are some of your thoughts between these two manufactures?

one difference is almost 8000 lbs. in displacement. the full keeled cabo rico would be batter with the heavy weather IMHO.
sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most.
