C&C 25 1974

I have an opportunity to purchase a nice C&C 25 with Honda 10 HP outboard , roller furler, adjustable backstay. She is not perfect, a little softness around the stanchions, a few spots on the sole.. Hull looks great except a small blister or 2 .
Running rigging looks pretty good. New head last year

I was planning on doing a full standing rigging, deck work , and the ports (some leak).. The chainplates look good, but ...

I can offer 1.5k and she is on the dry paid till next year .

Any opinions ?? Comments ?? Suggestions ??

C&C averaged around 1,000 boats a year, according to its co-founder, George Cuthbertson, and at its height commanded 50% of the Canadian market, and an astonishing 20% of the market in the US.

At that age, it's much more about the condition of the boat than the manufacturer.

The price seems reasonable, but it's up to you to determine what will need to be repaired/replaced before you can sail her.

The C&C 25 is a wonderful boat if its been well kept. Stiff little boat that can still win races at the local club level. Can't go wrong if its in real nice shape.
