And here you have a test sail of that boat:

But I bet that this one will be too modern for many The Fairlie just looks classic above the waterline, down under is a modern yacht with a modern keel and a modern rudder:

I did not said that it was a modern yacht, I said it had a modern hull. But you are right, not even that is right.

It is not a modern hull because it compromises a lot for the looks in what regards LWL and hull form stability (even for a narrow boat) but I guess that it is as close as what you have to pay in performance if the looks of a boat are your priority and if your taste is for classic yachts.

What I meant to say is that the boat has modern appendices (keel and rudder) and that increases the performance regarding an old classical yacht with a big full keel.

Classical Yachts when they assume the shape of traditional boats compromise a lot less and are in fact a better option for the ones that like classic shapes:
