Boats with teak cabin sides..

As I boatshop, I find myself drawn to the Cheoy Lees with Teak cabin sides.

What other fiberglass boats have teak cabin sides?

Saw a wood Ohlson 36 with teak cabin sides, but think I'd rather avoid wood.

Some of the early Tartan Black Watchs had teak houses. Very sharp looking.

swan and wauquiez have fiberglass coach house/deck molded combo. sorry, not teak coach house. there were not that many marques with the fg hull and wood topsides, that i know of--i have seen wauquiez and i have seen swan. they both have trim, but essentially fiberglass coach house structure.

Sorry, I thought he meant the interior look, not construction.

I just bought a Cheoy Lee... The deck needs to be completely redone, but I am looking forward to seeing her restored!

Re: Boats with teak cabin sides..

I promise- no screws!
Hey Zeehag! You are my leaky teaky hero!
Anyhow, Robb 35, 1968, glass hull, teak sides...
Hmnn- soft core, lol! I have been researching this for a while so I do know you guys... Luckily as I restore cranes, I am in a good place to work on her like she needs. (Still in over my head though!)
Honestly, I couldn't say no to this beautiful girl... One grand for the boat- free stands, free haul, free crane, free paint, free place to work on the hard... How could I turn that down?
Shes's beautiful and in rally good shape, aside from the recore, reskin and reteak.
Hmn... What about that company that cads decks? Like the Mildred Rose used?
... Nice to meet you guys, btw

-Stephen

A Vindo sure does have a wood coach house, not sure if it is Teak. I had the good sense to pass up a real beauty, I think maybe.

Yeah, have been checking out a Vindo listing online. Tempting...

Know much about those boats? Info is scarce, and the owners association just gives the broad picture.

Re: Boats with teak cabin sides..

I looked over a 35' Vindo pretty well. They are a very nice boat. There is a spread about them in a book by Frenc Mate ( SP). The book is titled something like the most beautifull boats in the world or some such thing. I think the 35ft boat is called the Vindo 45, for some reason
