Re: Boat stamps

We cleared into the Maldives yesterday and the team from Immigration, Health, Customs, Security (Navy), Port Authority and our agent totaled six men. There were many forms that required our boat stamp (7 copies of the crew list) but when they saw our embosser, each man wanted to do the embossing himself! Our embosser was passed around and the Immigration officer nodded approvingly and said, "Can't be copied."

Fair winds and calm seas.

Re: Boat stamps

I'd like to add my endorsement to others concerning YachtStamp.com as an excellent source for inked stamps and for embossed stamps for your boat.

I love mine and know the company to be honest, fair, and very responsive.

Ha - what a palaver!! I had the same experience a couple of years ago and did not have a boat stamp.......they made me put a finger print on the documents!

Also - If considering Cards, think about adding your mmsi number to them. If more people did that, we could clear down a lot of unnecessary vhf chat.

Re: Boat stamps

We've used www.rubberstamps.net here in the US. Fast service, competitive price, very nice quality. I'm not an easy customer but they're on the short list for repeat business.

They have clear instructions & online tools but basically, you can make any artwork you please, select a size for the stamp, and just have it sent to you.

This is for rubber stamps, not for an embossing die set, although they may offer those too.
