bigger boat choices?

Hello Folks,

The plan is working , a few weekend sails on the Cal 30, and wife would like to have a bigger boat to explore living aboard.

Thinking about a Paul Johnson VENUS 42' in the UK, or a Tom Colvin DOXY schooner that is in Ontario. It was built as a 41' instead of 38' apparently with the Mr. Colvin's input for design changes and aft deck 5" higher.
Or any others similar.

Any input on these vessels, anyone sail Venus 42' or Colvin Doxy schooner?
I've been on Breath when it was in Nanny, Cay, but didn't go inside.
Never been on a Colvin schooner, or maybe I have and didn't realize it.

Need to be able to live in cold weather/winter aboard, plus if it can freeze in. But do intend to travel abroad and remote at times.
