A bunch of folks seem to be using ebay. Craigslist appears to be hot for smaller craft, at least. Don't know how well they do with bigger stuff.

All the stuff on ebay I've seen in my area seems to be small powerboats, RIBs, and projects. Craigslist is really big in the Seattle area but it can be a PITA for the seller because there are so many people who are just idling and wanting pictures, but not really interested...or who are just sort of fishing for someone desperate or an insane deal. |

Thanks for the link to Sailboat listings. Looks like a good value with a featured for $25 or you can get a free add if you don't want to include any external links.

Just submitted an ad to Latitude 38's Classy Classifieds. 40 words. One picture. One month run. Seventy bucks. Latitude 38 is a great read. I caught cat-fever sailing in Mexico on Richard's infamous 60' Profligate back in 2005. I got to drive for a few hours as we zipped back and forth through the fleet at the Banderas Bay sailing regatta. Richard was busy taking photo's and was encouraging me to get very close toe the race boats for the best pics. What a blast. The boat would pop up to 14 knots in a flash and from that point forward I knew I would own a cruising catamaran one day. After crossing the South Pacific on my Beneteau First 405, I bought a PDQ 36/39' and more recently picked up a Chris White designed Atlantic 42 cat. If anyone has additional websites they frequent looking for boats I would appreciate more tips. |

In Canada, Kijiji.ca. We had our boat on a commercial website and got a few inquiries, but we got 4 or 5 times as many contacts when we put it on Kijiji. We eventually sold it to a buyer who saw it on Kijiji. Only drawback is there are a lot of tire kickers that come from Kijiji.
