Anyhow... The CE rating for this boat is as follows..
A8/B9/C10.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this means please?
Would this boat, fitted out of course, be safe to sail around the world for example?

Category A with upto 8 people , cat B with upto to 9 etc.
A cat A boat meets the minimum required under the EU recreational craft directive for sustained use off shore. , but it's not a definitive mark of seaworthiness, far from it, nor was it intended to be so.
Most boats sailed conservatively with adequate
equipment and some modifications can be
safety sailed around the world, including this one.
Beneteau, in my experience make boats that are more then sufficient for this task, provided one understands what one is sailing in and it's limitations. You may need more tankage and an upgraded
electrical system and maybe a bigger sail wardrobe. But the basic
hull is up for it.
