not the beneteau in the end due to short keel and quality of older ones on the market, we bought a 26 years young Tashing Orion 50.......super boat! Pricing was similar to Beneteau so went for this beautifully finished interior and ketch rigged 'classic to be'

Not trying to hi-jack the thread but a couple people mentioned the performance boats sailing at anchor.. I took care of this on ours by attaching a line to the anchor chain about 15 feet off the bow and running the line back to the cockpit winch..crank it up to point the boat is pointed a few degrees off the wind.. she settles right down.. I also use this arangement to point the boat into the swells when the wind is comming from a different direction.. Using this method, you can always have a good night sleep with the bow pointed into the waves..

well i can't complain for one minute about my ben- 500 and i think it has one of the best cabin layouts around and for my model/yr she is soild and you can pick up the same model in greece for about 85000 euros
