Beneteau 411?

Ive owned a Catalina 25 and 36, and want to get into a Ben411, so my wife and two daughters can cruise for up to a year. Any tips on what problems there are with the 411 that I may not be considering? Destination unknown.

the 423 is miles better than the 411, it was the following generation. 2003 and newer.

Fully agree with Vasco. We researched both boats. The 411 is a nice boat but the 423 is miles better. We have had the 423 for 3 years and are very happy with it.

There is nothing wrong with 411.
She is not super fast (shallow keel and thus shorter mast).
Reliable and easy to operate single handed.

Avoid charter version (4 cabins) as it makes fore cabin totally unconfortable.

Re: Beneteau 411?

What is the real difference between the 411 and 423? In photos anyway, they look exactly the same.

The 411 is a little cheaper, but that's not surprising since it's also a little older. Overall, they seem to be a great value for the price. Judging by the number being sold, it looks like a lot of them were produced, which helps drive prices down.

.
The major difference is down below, walk through them and you will see. And if you look carefully you will see that externally they are much different. But superficially they are all bleach bottles, one with better lines than the other.
