Bay Area surveyor?

Hi all,
I'm sure that there's probably a little million of surveyors in the Bay Area, but any recommendations to use or avoid from personal experience?

Thanx, Paul

Re: Bay Area surveyor?

I would recommend Francoise Ramsey of Wedlock,Ramsey&Whiting in San Rafeal.415-497-7409. I used her for crew on a number of deliveries about 20 years ago and quickly discovered that she was a far better sailor than I, and she had an engineering background.. You can google the company and you can put her name into this forums search feature. I am boat hunting now, and when I need a surveyor, she will be my first call. GOOD LUCK!_____Grant.

Marine Surveyors in San Francisco Bay | SF Bay

I've used Otis Hayes several times. Always satisfied. (415) 461-8425

What boat are you looking at? There are some great options in the Bay area right now.

Re: Bay Area surveyor?

Thanx all for the responses. Sill looking at this point, but have looked at a Fuji 35 Ketch, and a Bristol 40 yawl. NW that Bristol was a sweet boat!

Just looked at the Bristol on Yachtworld.... now that is a pretty boat! Good luck with the search and keep us updated. This is the fun part of boat ownership!

+1!!! Francoise is the only surveyor I use, and the only one I recommend.
