Autopilot Raymarine Hylas 46

We are looking to install a Raymarine auto pilot on our 1996 Hylas 46. Any words of wisdom on hydraulic vs mechanical on a chain driven Edson system? Connection to quadrant? Etc. All thoughts greatly appreciated.

Personally I like an electric hydraulic system, very powerful and quick has been reliable for the last 5 years but it's just my personal bias. Downside is its a bit on the noisy side in the aft cabin.

I have 2 AP's: a 7000 and an ACU 400 with Lecombe Schmidt (LS) hydraulic drive attached to the rudder bell crank. Love the hydraulic and it was the only one we used during our ATL crossing last December. Super quiet for us as the pump is located in the engine bay.. so no noise in aft cabin. PLEASE specify the LS drive... the Ray ones are not very good apparently.
