Anyone Know What Yacht 'this' Is ?

Hi All,

First post... hope you can help... have been lurking a while...

Just spotted this today... and the tinkerer in me sees "potential"...

Hull is a mini ecosystem of marine life... but then, that's a bargaining tool

Any hints most appreciated. Cheers

I thought it was an Ericson also. If that is what it is, it is a great boat. Kind of an ugly paint job, but with a little TLC and some money, it would be a nice boat. Probably has a Universal diesel.

Welcome aboard.
There can be treasure in rough diamonds.
At least all the stainless steel looks straight enough, so maybe it's just been neglected, not knocked about.

It's not necessarily a bargain or great boat until you have had it hauled and gone over by a surveyor and received a price. The growth is going to have to be removed so you can test sail it and the owner should pay for that.

Make a totally low ball offer like 25k and see what happens. In this market you might get it. I would not touch it though if it needs lots of work...not in this market where you can get boats in good shape for cheap.

An Ericson 38-200

That hatch pattern is unmistakable.

Superior boat.

Awesome...

Thanks so much for all the replies! Don't think I've ever had such a great welcome to a fourm before!

Chanced upon her yesterday... It has been neglected...

Am going to make some enquiries. Am out in Singapore, so that works in my favour (its always a buyers market here)....

But agreed on being sure about just how much of a project this is going to be before getting my feet wet.

Cheers All
