Depends on what you mean by a weak link. There is some variation in layout but they were designed with comfortable coastal sailing in mind. They do that in spades.
I think most of the original ones were designed like mine with water storage
on one side and diesel
on the other. With both filled she lists towards the water. I've removed my holding tank
and put a small water tank in which I fill from a water maker. I don't fill the port water tank and so it's not a problem for me.
I have the 4.154 in mine although most did come with the 4.108. The extra horses are nice in the strong local currents.
Personally I love the boat. With the 150 genoa
I don't have to reef in 20 knots though a reef in the main means I don't have to wrestle with the helm
. With the jib
up it's a lot less work but unless the winds are strong I want more sail.
