b43

Had our B43 2years. I think it's a fabulous boat. Our last boat was the B331.
B43 is fast, spacious, reliable (after having the fuel pump mod completed) and just like home when plugged in at the Marina or on anchor. We've only been offshore with her once but she was very responsive and smooth when trimmed properly offshore. If she is not properly trimmed it is almost immediately evident. Some of the interior hardware is cheap but replacement cost through beneteau is reasonable for latches, door handles etc. Boat hull quality is very good and control hardware is very good. I think it a excellent boat for the money and will be taking her to Bahamas this fall to really check her out.

My wife and I are negotiating $$ on a beneteau 432 right now. Unfortunately we are over 1000 miles away. We are trying to see if we can meet their price before we travel and waste our time. It is nice to hear the positive feedback. Did everyone have a survey done and haul it in and out of the water before purchase?

Hi Gaylord.
I believe the 432 was a special Beneteau originally build totally for the Moorings charter feet. A different boat to the new model 43. I have heard good things of the 432 though. I have a 411 but coveting a new 43.
For me survey by someone you have got to know and trust, haul out, rig check and engine oil analysis are mandatory pre-purchase checks.
Good luck.

It is hard to know and trust a surveyor when you have not been in the community. We need one in the Myrtle Beach area. After trying for years to settle on an attorney and accountant what we know is you can't trust them to have your goals in mind. Hard to imagine this to be different.

What is the normal commission for a broker on a boat sale? Don't know any real estate agents we trust either.
