Any Experience with Gulf Coast 20?

Howdy folks,

My wife and I have been looking for a decent little learner boat, something in the 20-25ft range. We're really not picky since the goal is just to get out and do some lake sailing. We have a place on a constant level lake in central Texas but do to fairly shallow water at our dock a swing keel or centerboard setup is essential.

We've been checking Craigslist and are now considering A Gulf Coast 20 footer.

  • Length 19'11", beam 6'11"
  • Ballast 175 pounds
  • Swing keel, Draft 9" keel up/ 4' keel down
Just curious if anyone here has ever owned or sailed one? Seems pretty simple but I'd still be interested in your thoughts.

Thanks
