Any Caliber LRC owners here?
Hi,
I'm curious to hear owner comments about the Caliber LRC series and specifically the 47ft. The boat seems to have many good features. Any pro's or con's that others would like to point out would be also welcome. thanks! Tom |

They are decent versions of the typical medium weight cruiser. I delivered a 47 from Seattle to San Francisco when it was new. The boat handled the trip fine. I did not like the in-mast furling at all. The boom vang seemed undersized. Take a look at the aft queen and see if it is to your liking. The build quality looked decent. There are some good web sites on the smaller Calibers. Check out Mirador's site on the LRC 40 THE VOYGAGES OF MIRADOR

We adore our Caliber 47, "Dulcinea" and have sailed her since 1999 throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean . Alas, schedules don't allow us much time to do this anymore and we have put her on the market. For details, comments, info, etc. check out:
Dulcinea - Caliber 47 LRC for Sale We can't think of a better boat: safe, fast, comfortable and beautiful. We will be happy to answer any specific questions. (JB)2 Last edited by JB; 19-05-2008 at 13:04. Reason: website came up incorrectly. |

Hi, Tom: We adore our Caliber 47 LRC, which we have enjoyed for 9 years. Sadly, our lifestyle can't handle so much cruising right now. Feel free to ask us any questions, or check out Dulcinea - Caliber 47 LRC for Sale
She is the best blue water boat ever, and so comfortable to live aboard! Fair winds, Julie ![]() |
