Re: Any C&C owners out there?

I purchased a 1984 Landfall 43 CC last spring from Vancouver CA. Im located in Olympia, WA. Still trying to get acquainted with her. This looks like an older thread but would still love to hear back from any Landfall owners!

Re: Any C&C owners out there?

Wow, old post, not a lot of traffic... I am the new owner and restoring the "Pegaso", the only 1982 C&C Custom 62. She was on the dry already for 5 years when this post-tread started, partially dismantled, after a failed refit. Still is on the dry but things are looking up now. Looking to be back in the water by the end of the year.

Re: Any C&C owners out there?

Those were the days. I am not sure this is a 1982 picture as the davits were not part of the original spec. I suspect this picture comes from the time the Blodget's bought the boat, which would peg it around 1990-91.

Here is a picture of the sorry look when she caught my eye.

Re: Any C&C owners out there?

I am looking at a C&C Landfall 43 for long term cruising. She’s a little rough and needs some TLC. The boat has not been out of the water in 8 years which scares me. Although it’s o wee has the bottom cleaned monthly by a diver.

Re: Any C&C owners out there?

Anybody know if the 43 Landfall has a cored hull or not. I've seen people assert both yes and no on that.

Re: Any C&C owners out there?

According to the C&C brochures, both the 42 & 48 Ft. Landfalls were balsa cored. They don’t describe the 43, but I'd presume it was.
C&C Yachts - C&C Photo Album & Resource Center
Then go to “C&C Brochures”

Just because it’s a cored hull doesn’t disqualify it though some will rail against them. You need to take extra care in surveying the hull carefully especially where thru hulls and intrusions occur.

Our 37 year old 35 MKIII has no wetness in the hull. She gets pulled every 4 years.

C&C 43 is a very responsive , quick , and points better than 85% of other sailboats. It is a true racer cruiser, and is comfortable doing both.

Re: Any C&C owners out there?

Finalizing our purchase of a 1985 C&C 37 this week. Cored hull to the keel but the boat surveys dry and sound. No intrusions but gelcoat blisters? Got em! Prepared to deal with the pox every takeout. My understanding is that thru hulls on C&Cs are surrounded by solid glass as are deck mounts and openings. Please inform if you know differently.

Re: Any C&C owners out there?

Hi I am refitting a c&c 42 for cruising for the last 3 years, a bit at a time. Yes the hull is cored and the hull fittings are solid fiberglass.
