Antigua 44 / Csy 44 question

Does anyone know if the later model Antigua 44 ketch has a compression post beneath the main mast? It appears to be deck stepped and the deck is questionable with leaks etc. I its possible there's a post in the bulkhead but doesn't appear to be. The rig is not " tight" might be why it is still on the market.

Re: Antigua 44 / Csy 44 question

The Antigua 44 have a keel stepped mast , at least in my drawings, so if you found one deck steeped could be a mast repaired and steeped in deck with a compresión post, not the first time i see something like that....

Re: Antigua 44 / Csy 44 question

I believe the CSY 44 has a solid fiberglass deck - no core materials like balsa.

Re: Antigua 44 / Csy 44 question

It is a ketch rig so the mast is right over the forward bulkhead for the salon. Directly under the mast base there is the corners of the bulkhead and wall for the forward shower, it doesnt appear as if there is a compression post encased in anything. If it is just bulk head supported that seems a bit scary. This isn't a true csy it is the antigua from after csy sold the molds.
