another new sailboat owner!!!

I'm normally on the Multihull forum... but, just now purchased my first mono-hulll sailboat. Just learning how to sail!

My husband and I bought a 1983 oday 22'. It's in great shape and just PERFECT (we think) to learn on!

Anyway.. just wanted to say hi...

My first boat was a Catalina 22 and I think its the perfect size to train on and get the feel for boat ownership.

Congratulations!

Re: another new sailboat owner!!!

We had a 1981 30' Hunter to learn on years ago. It was indeed perfect for learning.

Our first trips to around Florida and the Bimini islands, Bahamas:

my first boat was an Oday 23 .. what a blast!! no roller furling and it had a 6 hp. outboard so the bilge was always bone dry. also had a marine head which was nice. we trailered it down to the lower keys one spring and had the best sailing experience ever. those were the daze
