Aloa 34

Aloa 34 NOT the Aloha 34
I'm wondering about the boat. I've been doing research and have found very little about it. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes, I think I should have been more concise with my request:
Specifications and specific experiences 'en anglais'. Mon français est très mauvais.

Sailboatdata.com is the worlds largest sailboat database. use the English button.
Overall good Canadian boat built on Lake Ontario.
IT has cousins by different names.

Re: Aloa 34

You mean it is an Aloha 34 from Lake Ontario, Canada.

That isn't the same boat. The Aloa 34 was built in France from 1970.

Chain plate knees on the Aloha 34 come in two versions ... those that have been replaced and those that need replacing.

Ok people, listen very carefully... the ALOA 34 is not the same boat as the ALOHA 34.

Gotta wonder...

In my opinion the Aloha sorry, I just couldn't resist.
In my opinion the Aloa 34 is very light for a cruising boat that length. I know lots of people like the light displacement cruisers but most are for limited distances since they lack the storage space for extended cruising. All boats are a compromise and you must decide where your comfort level lies.
That being said I have no personal knowledge of this particular design. Good luck.

Re: Aloa 34

The information about the Aloa 34 is limited. I figured someone here must have at least known someone with one. Maybe I was wrong.

Re: Aloa 34

ALOHA.........NOT ........ALOA
The Canadian boat is on page 6, not on page 5.

Sailboatdata.com is the worlds largest sailboat database.

A small spelling mistake and chaos..

ALOHA 27, 34 and others.

No.

A - L - O - A.
ALOA.
Built by Aloa Marine, France, who also built the ALOA 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29.

Look at the first 4 letters: ALOA

I'm having a "No, I own an OHLSON, not an OLSON 29!" moment
That darn H strikes again ...

The Aloa isn't as uncommon here in the Netherlands, l'll ask around to see if maybe I can get you in touch with an owner. If so (no promises) I'll PM you.

Re: Aloa 34

If you are a North American, you can completely ignore all Aloa boats, simply because there arn't any in North America.
But as for Aloha boats there are hundreds, and hundreds, and hundreds, of them here, because they are good boats.
