Advice on spec and ordering a new Jeanneau?

Anyone here order recently from the factory care to share or pm me advice? Will likely miss this season but is there a good time to buy or order and what should I spec at factory vs later?

349, mainly cruising, some longer distance (Great Lakes) trips so some performance is desired.

Id buy one a couple of years old. You will get it cheaper..
The issues hopefully repaired.
Or any chance of being able to buy a different proper sailboat?

Regarding other boats, I haven't seen many others that fit the niche that Jeanneau is addressing with the 349 - open to suggestions if you have any.

Regarding it being cheaper in a couple of years, well if we're concerned about depreciation, this probably isn't the pastime for us. If you have a 349 you'd like to sell, get in touch!
