Re: Adams 13 centreboard

Doesn't the Adams 13 have the main traveller just forward of the helm?

yes it does, most seem to have tiller steering, however a couple I have looked at have wheel steering.

Re: Adams 13 centreboard

I think I looked at the 13 and although had a lot of good features decided against because of the traveller interfering with cockpit movement and a full enclosure,

Re: Adams 13 centreboard

Looked at a few glass ones, they were cored and problems with wet cores, even synthetic cores are in trouble after 25 years.
Pretty tight inside too.
Sail like witches, but the centerboarder is pretty tender on the wind, with the high ballast and narrow beam.
Finally bought a solid glass Adams 36 Traditional, happy chappy.

Re: Adams 13 centreboard

thanks for the info
I will look out for the core problems if and when I look at one.
I personally like the traveller near the helm for singlehandeding and also keeps it out of the companionway. Horses for courses, cheers.
