40' Cheoy Lee Midshipman Pensacola to Key Largo

We will be in Pensacola Shipyard setting the masts and getting rigging done within the next week or so and then heading out to Carrabelle to wait on weather for crossing to Anclote Key....any local knowledge on going outside from Pensacola to Carrabelle or other inlets? we have 51' main height so hummm. Any advice from those who have made the trip, we aren't from here, our home is the Keys
Thanks Guys!!
