wow quiet ;) on the Peterson ?

Judging from the resounding silence I guess no one has an opinion on these craft. I did do some searching and there appear to be several Peterson’s attached to boat designs, well at least 2. I guess an “adrenaline cruiser” is an IOR racer that has been converted to a cruiser? Everything I could find says the Doug Peterson design is good both in light and heavy air and a stable platform. I would appreciate anyone else’s input on this.
Thanks

Doug Peterson designed a lot of different boats back in the late 1970's and early 80's. Some were custom one-offs, others were produced in short production runs of limited numbers by a variety of different builders. Most are generally based on his successful IOR racer Ganbare. I think the most popular was probably the Peterson 34 that was built by Composite Technologies (later re-named Island Yachts) down in Texas from 1976 through 1982 or so, with a total production of about 92 boats. There was also the Offshore One Design 34 (OOD34) built by Jeremy Rodgers in Lymington (UK), of which about 82 were built, and which (as I understand it) served as the base for the Contessa 35.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the Adrenaline model that you are looking at.

Wiggers in Ontario built Petersons in the eighties. I think it was a 37. Very deep keel.

Doug Peterson designed the Kelly Peterson 44, a center cockpit cutter that has become one of the best world cruisers ever conceived. It's very good looking (except for the plumb stern which takes some getting used to), fast, seaworthy, roomy and very comfortable in the heavy stuff. Peterson also designed the 46, almost identical, just two feet longer by stretching the section around the cockpit.

As far as I know, Peterson did not design any other boats that were strictly cruisers.

A KP 44 could be a wonderful coastal cruiser if it's not too big for you (draft is 6.5 feet) since many of them were put into Caribbean charter service. But it's really a blue water cruiser.

Don't mean to hijack....We are seriously looking at a 1977 37' Peterson built Chita/Japan. Do you have any resources on this boat?
