35' boats with walk-thru transoms ?

I know of benes, catalinas, and a couple hunter models. Are there any others?

This sounds pretty idiotic but can you cut a piece out of the transom of a solid transom boat, or does that structurally ruin the boat?

The designer might have had the idea it was required to keep the water out. It would have structural components too. Given there are a lot of designs like you desire seems better to just get one of those unless you choose a study of naval architecture.

Our boat has a door that folds out and down to make a swim platform just a few inches above the water. There really are a lot of designs that facilitate getting in and out of the water.

The C&C 34+ (35 feet 6 inches LOA) was also known as the 34/36, 34R, & 34 XL.

Certain Alubat (French) designs, favoured by Jimmy Cornell are aluminium boats that can be designed for these needs. . .
