30' Golden Gate Odyssey

Anyone ever hear of the 30' Golden Gate Odyssey? Any info, experience, knowledge, history, advice? I'm looking for a blue water capable boat for 1-2 people to sail through the SPac for about 3 years.
Thanks for your help,
John

Did you come to the right place! I have owned my Golden Gate 30 for 3-years now, had Chuck Burns (the designer) aboard, done lots of research, plan on cruising in the next couple of years and...have created a website (http://farallon.klubko.net/ it's not as "slick" as I'd like but I'm a sailor, not a 'puter geek :-). I have LOTS of pics and files, etc. Let me know what you need.
Where are you located?
John

Re: 30' Golden Gate Odyssey

Hello

I circumnavigated my Chuck Burns designed Bodega 30.
Started from KEY WEST in Jan 1990
sailed via Panama and Suez and returned to KEY WEST June 1994.

Kiana is in Key West with full equipment
in a legal live-aboard slip
for sale for $31,000.

Re: 30' Golden Gate Odyssey

The Puerto Galera Yacht Club, Mindoro Island, Philippines, has just bought a GG30, Guinevere II, built in 1982, to add to its dinghy fleet to teach local school children how to sail. We're trying to get hold of a builder's certificate so that we can re-register the vessel. Any owners out there with ideas? Odyssey Yachts went out of business a few years ago.

Cheers
Pete
