1993 Beneteau First 310

Hi,
Does anyone out there have any experiencce with this model, it is a shoal draft verison. How good is the quality, sure looks good on the surface, but it seems to be a very light boat.

The First series in the racing series. Light with minimal interior. I haven't sailed one, but in general a shoal draft keel is not going to perform as well as a deep draft when doing to windward.

Nice for coastal cruising, especially with the shoal draft. Good for a couple cruising. Performance-oriented, but nice down below and you have some storage in the starboard lazarette. I believe it came with either a tiller or wheel steering.

Disclaimer- been on one, but never owned one.

I think there have been at least 5 different Beneteau models based on this hull design including the first 'Figaro Solo'. It seems to be pretty highly thought of for seaworthiness and sailing performance. But you shouldn't have too much trouble finding others with personal experience since they built so many of this type.
