1989 Admiral 32 built by Capital Marine

Hello,

New to this forum and am trying to find any info on the Admiral 32 which was built by Capital Marine in Jacksonville, FL. The company built for 8 yrs and closed in 1994. Capital Marine also built Newport. I am looking for an owners manual and if possible, a number for Dale Moehle the owner at the time.

This boat had major upgrades in the 1990 time frame and has a wing keel with extra weight. Not too keen on wing but I will deal with it.

Any help would be appreciated?

Thank you in advance!

BTW....will I get email notifications to my address, hoping I get response??

Regards,

GC

As far as I know Newports - from 27' to 41', as well as their Neptune and Gulf models were all built in California. Capital Yachts was the company name. Info here - links at top of page after it loads. Newport, Neptune, Gulf sailboats built by Capital Yachts

Here is a link to the list of boats they built on SailboatData:Sailboats built by Capital Yachts Corp. by year on Sailboatdata.com

I think it was a different company all together. Can you post a pic?

Contact any east coast yacht broker. They will have some info or a lead to the info. Look up brokers where your boat was built and just call and ask some questions. Most long standing brokers have the Rolodex you're looking for.

Wow.....if you are correct (and you may be) I am blown away! Are you familiar with the Admiral 32? I can't find any reviews much less any mention of the boat. According to what I saw, they starting building in Sept 1983-July 1992.

I might need some help posting if the 2 pics did not attach. This my first post.

I believe you need 10 posts before you can add a pic. Better solution is to go to Photobucket.com and load the pic there. You can link to it easily.

You posted that Newports were built by Capital Marine - I pointed out that they were built in California by Capital Yachts.

SailboatData (and Google for that matter) have never heard of the Admiral 32. The only Capital Marine Google can find is in the UK.

Post a pic.

Re: 1989 Admiral 32 built by Capital Marine

Hello,
The original electrical panal says/shows the Newport name/logo. I was certain the Newport was made in Jax but guess I was mistaken. Years ago I was very active in the race community and knew a lady that owned a 27 Newport...same logo.

I was informed I would have to use Photobucket till I had 10 posts.

I will eventually post pics.

Thank you all for the help!

Unfortunately, Dale Moehle died a number of years ago.

Re: 1989 Admiral 32 built by Capital Marine

Thank you.....very sad indeed. Did he have any partners? I am trying to get a copy of an owners manual.

I am also in Jax and used to race alot and also a live aboard for many years. I actually think I met him when he first started building

Do you know anything about the Admiral 32??
I could provide my direct email to take off list if you do.

Regards

GC
