Re: 1987 Island Packet

It might be worth your while to sign up on the Island Packet Owners Association and ask some questions.

Welcome to the Island Packet Yacht Owners' Association

A64, It's listed at Whiteaker Yachts. Saw it on the front page of Sailboat listings web site this morning. It is absolutely stunning. If interested you might be able to contact Ceal about it. I think they are on the IP 27 headed down the coast of Florida about now.

Re: 1987 Island Packet

Whiteaker Yachts is a good agency. They sold my IP 380 for me. First rate folks to work with.

Re: 1987 Island Packet

I've talked with and spent time with some of the Whitaker people. I found a 320 that I would personally love, but the wife when asked got a funny look on her face and commented that it would get real small on a rainy day. We are currently a family of four, two teenagers.

A64, I personally have zero stake in this. I've followed Ceal and Kevin's blog as they sailed all over the place. I think you'd be doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't peek at that one. It is a stunning boat.

I don't disagree, do you have a link to it?

Check out the Island packet home port site. Lots of info in the form.

Not real sure why you couldn't cut the top off of an aluminum tank and go back in with a bladder cell though.
I wonder what the failure rate on the IP tanks is?
They fail. See the IP home port site. The problem is access, which can mean taking out the floor.

Are you talking about the IP27 that they sold already, or another boat?

I think she's right. The 320 is probably good for a cruising couple, but would be tight with more people.

Beautiful boat, best of luck during your survey - I am completing one myself in the next week and a half! Where are you located a64?

Sorry for the late reply...had to run an overnight Sears load. I will get the link, but I am doing this on a phone that at times is substantially smarter than I am.

Let's, they did re-fits on 3 boats. Two IP 27's and the IP 380. One 27 sold, they are on the second, and the 38' is for sale. A64, the blog is called alwaysgoblog.com or I think you can Google Ceclia Potts. I'm going back to bed......

2001 Island Packet IP 380 Refit Just Completed sailboat for sale in Florida

I assume this is the 380, it says it completed a full re-fit in Feb. 2014. Located in St. Augustine.
